Ric Rac Orchid Cactus (Epiphyllum anguliger)

$24.95
SKU: S7522-4

An Orchid Cactus with many virtues: unique foliage, free-blooming and evening fragrance. The leaves, comprised of a series of deeply cut lobes, create a saw-tooth effect giving it the common name Ric Rac Cactus. Flowers arrive effortlessly from late summer through fall, and best of all, it's one species that doesn't need a winter chill to flower. The pure white 3½” blooms, backed by orange-bronze sepals and petals, open over many weeks. This easy-to-grow, fragrant plant makes an excellent subject for hanging containers.

My favorite, oddball survivor

I got this plant a few years ago when I had a thriving, extensive exotic plant collection. At the time it was only 6", but it was still very cute and unique looking with the leaves alone. Since then, life happened and work took over and unfortunately most of my plant collection died off, but this little guy kept on kickin'. Even when it outgrew it's pot and toppled it over with it's own weight, it still kept growing and even started to bloom last year. New growth also has a rainbow-like appearance, with red tips fading back to the green stems. Having dead plants all over my house for a long time got really depressing, but this little guy has been a trooper and a big source of hope. Definitely exceeded my expectations! The plant itself is beautiful, even when it gets gangly and awkward (my own fault-- not the plant's), and the blooms are gorgeous and make my bedroom smell heavenly. Highly recommend

Unique Epiphyllum with Gorgeous, Fragrant Flowers

I've had this for about 4 years now. It flowered for the first time in the 2nd year, and since then, it's been flowering in Oct. - Nov. every year since then, like a loyal, dependable friend. My plant stays indoors from late fall through mid spring, and I take it outdoors during the summer time. The more sun it receives during summer, the more flowers it will have in Oct. - Nov. And the flowers are so beautiful and so fragrant! You'd know it's blooming once you've stepped into the room. Some of my flowers have formed fruits that are sort of like the mini dragronfruits. This plant is highly recommended! This would be very happy in a sunny warm spot.

Ethereal beauty

I had this plant for a couple of years and neglected it....translation: it's hard to kill, which is always a plus. The foliage is reminiscent of a Dr Seuss book. Much to my surprise, it gave me 3 spectacular, exotic, fragrant blooms this month.... completely unexpected! WOW. The blooms are a yellowish tan, last about 24 hours, and smell like Hawaii. If you like the strange and unusual, you will love this plant.
