Variegated Bleeding Heart Vine (Clerodendrum thompsoniae ‘Variegata’)
Here’s a beautiful variation of this famous climber that has clusters of brilliant red flowers against white calyces and striking variegated foliage in tones of cream and green. The long-lasting flowers are borne in terminal clusters and it flowers freely late winter through early summer and then sporadically into early fall. Growth slows or stops in winter. It can be maintained as an indoor container plant by providing a trellis for the vine to climb on or growing it in a hanging basket.
