White Powder Puff (Calliandra haematocephylla alba)

White Powder Puff is a delightful flowering shrub that has a longer bloom season and more compact growth habit than the red form. The large 3” white puffs arrive continuously during the short days of the year, from early winter well into spring, on the arching branches of this South American native. White Powder Puff performs equally well in full to partial sun and a wide range of temperatures as long as it’s kept above freezing.
