Zygo Orchid Syd Monkhouse (Zygopetalum hybrid)

Zygopetalum orchids originated in tropical South America, and they are rare and unusual. Syd Monkhouse has waxy, 2” flowers whose petals are green with maroon spots. The long purple lip has a white edge at the bottom. There are usually 3-4 flowers per spike and flowers last about 3 weeks. The blooms are lightly fragrant. Zygopetalum orchids grow well in intermediate temperatures and can go outside during the summer if they are shaded from hot sun and watered well. We ship blooming size plants not necessarily in spike.
