Angel Wing Begonia ‘Pinafore’ (Begonia fibrous hybrid)
This vintage Logee hybrid was created by Ernest Martin, Byron’s father, in the 1950s. We lost the specimen plant from our collection for about two decades, and then ‘Pinafore’ was returned to us by a long-time customer. We are happy to have it back and we feel fortunate to be able to reintroduce this wonderful begonia to you. Deep olive-green leaves, with white spotting and ruffled edges, make a wonderful back drop for the bright pink sprays of flowers that bloom year-round. Angel Wing Begonia ‘Pinafore’ is a medium-size grower that stays compact. It makes a great indoor plant or can be planted outside for a summer display.
