Cattleya Orchid Bright Spark
This micro-miniature cattleya is a hybrid with Cattleya cernua as one of the parents. Bright Spark is easier to grow, faster growing and has more vigor than the species. Since it only reaches 2-3” tall, it needs to be grown mounted on a piece of cork or board where it will clump and make numerous plants. The bloom season is fall through early winter, and the plant produces 1-2 flowers during the first bloom season. When the plant is mature, it usually has 3-5 vibrant red-orange flowers per spike. This is a blooming size plant mounted on a 2” x 2” cork with a hanging wire.
