This rare gesneriad, Flame Violet ‘Pink Smoke’ has smoky-green, velvety leaves decorated with bright pink leaf edges. The flowers are hot pink too. It produces many stolens, or runners, with smaller plantlets growing at regular intervals. This creates a full plant specimen. Flame violets are delicate plants that need warm temperatures and bright, indirect light to thrive. They make an ideal light garden or terrarium plant because environmental conditions are easily controlled. Maintain temperatures above 65°F. Episcias are very sensitive to cold weather.
