Helleborus 'Spring Sparkle Red' PPAF (Helleborus hybrid)
Blooming 2-3 weeks later in the spring than most Helleborus, ‘Spring Sparkle Red’ has large, deep red, outward-facing flowers with yellow stamens and pistils in the heart of the blossoms. The deep-red flowers are a welcome sight for early spring color when daffodils and other spring flowering bulbs are blooming. Grow in partial sun and use as a colorful border plant in a moist, semi-shaded area. ‘Spring Sparkle Red’ can also be grown in a container. Because of its weeks long blooming time, it is a favorite for spring gardens. Helleborus are also known as the Lenten Rose since it usually blooms during the Christian season of Lent.
