Medinilla ‘Royal Intenz’ PP (Medinilla magnifica hybrid)
After years of intensive breeding, a Dutch-based nursery has introduced this very special medinilla. ‘Royal Intenz’ has large, dark pink (nearly red) flowers that bloom in spring and summer. The large green leaves grow in a fan shape, so it makes an ideal plant for a partially sunlit windowsill. It’s best to pot it up into a deep 6” or 8” pot to give the plant adequate room for growth and optimal blooming potential. You’re sure to be impressed with this sensational new Medinilla ‘Royal Intenz.’
Special Note: Medinilla plants naturally excrete small, round grains, or growth sugars, on the undersides of the leaves. While sometimes confused for insect eggs or a sign of disease, these sugar grains are actually a sign of normal, healthy growth, and are nothing to be worried about.
