Orbea caudata (Orbea caudata)
This low-growing succulent has short 4” stems with fleshy teeth and unusual star-shaped flowers that bloom in late summer and early fall. The flowers are usually yellow with purple spotting and smell like rotting meat to attract pollinating insects in their native habitat. Grow in well-drained cactus soil and in partial shade in areas with intense afternoon sun.
