That certainly didn't stay small long. Put the tiny plant, I recieved, in the ground. And 3 months later, taller than me. Can't wait to see what it does next season!
Ordered my Pakistan mulberry a year ago now. Tree came in perfect condition as always from Logees. It grew 5 feet its first growing season here in zone 7 in Northwest Arkansas. Then came the 2021 winter storm. I new it was coming so I wrapped the tree with a cheap painters plastic, followed by an old sheet, followed with a trash bag to keep it dry. Not anything special. I woke up to -15 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 hours, and the high was 3 degrees. My pomegranates were toast, and at those temps I had to worry about even my most cold hardy trees (peaches, pears, etc...). To my dismay my Pakistan mulberry wasn't even phased when I unwrapped it 4 days later. I found a perfectly green cambium layer days after thawing, and the trees elasticity was still there. That's zone 5 weather it survived. It's on the western wall of my home. So in zone 7 give it a warm wall, and you should be good to go. And if you get to the single digits (since the negatives is an ultra rare event) give it some protection and you should be fine. I'm so impressed. A winner yet again from Logees.
The plant came in really good condition. I repotted the plant into a 1gal container immediately after receiving the plant. It is thriving here in East Bay, CA. It survived the record breaking temperatures of CA. We had consistent 2 weeks of above 100F.
