Papaya Tree ‘Broadleaf’ (Carica papaya)

‘Broadleaf’ is an heirloom Thai papaya that starts fruiting when the plant is only 4’ tall. It bears prolific crops of long, reddish- orange fruit that are sweet and delicious. Papaya is rich in antioxidants to reduce inflammation in the body and promote good health. ‘Broadleaf’ is named for its very broad, ornamental leaves, and it may be grown in a large pot in northern zones with the height kept to a manageable size by pruning.
