Red Butterfly Ginger is perfect for containers and brings a colorful show to the late summer and early fall garden. A species ginger from India, its deep orange-red flowers emerge from the top of the upright canes, and mature plants flower for several weeks. The attractive leaves are deep green with reddish undersides. There is a resting period after blooming and then springtime brings renewed vigor and the cycle starts again.
