Keep it moist with nutrient-free water during active growth, allowing it to dry slightly in winter when it may go dormant. During dormancy, the leaves become more succulent in form and lose their usual sticky surface. Like all butterworts, its sticky leaves naturally trap fungus gnats and other small pests, making it both ornamental and practical.
